ABOUT
I am an experimental playwright and poet from Boston. I write mostly in magic realism. I write for both indoor and outdoor stages. I am an alumni of Company One Theatre’s PlayLab and Masterclass of 2016. My outdoor, interactive play OCTOBER was produced in July, 2016, by a troupe I co-founded, 2016-2018, Contemporary Park Shorts (CPS). We brought free, outdoor plays that I wrote to Boston-area parks. I believe that theater should be accessible to all. My troupe also collaborated with Fort Point Theatre Channel on September 16, 2018, for a staged reading of my comedy Tangles In Your Teeth. I’ve had several short plays involved in festivals, and read on the radio. I’ve had readings of my full-lengths in NYC and Houston. In all my work, I combine poetry and movement. I create “magic” by creating abstract and absurd worlds onstage. I want my audience to be enveloped in the world I create. Also, I love to appeal to the senses beyond the visual in my drama. Sound is very important to me. Overall, I strive to create intense, personal, sensual moments. And, I believe in inclusivity in theater. I am now focusing on writing stories about disability, to be performed by actors with disabilities.
